The Sisterhood Collective Exhibition

6th November – 5th December 2025

Nottingham Central Library

Join The Sisterhood Collective — a grassroots photography network for women and women-identifying photographers in Nottingham — for their first group exhibition at Nottingham Central Library.

The exhibition showcases work developed in response to the brief Exploring Identity Through Photography, inviting participants to reflect on how personal and cultural identity can shape the stories we tell through images.

Opening night takes place on Thursday 6th November, 7–9pm, and will feature a short talk by the organisers, contributions from exhibiting photographers, complimentary drinks, and an opportunity to meet the community in a welcoming, creative atmosphere.

The Sisterhood Collective is part of Sequence – Nottingham Centre for Photography and Social Engagement, a Community Interest Company working across the Midlands to provide accessible facilities and support for photographers, and to create a platform where individuals and communities can develop creative work and connect with one another.

Funded by the East Midlands Railway Community Fund, this exhibition marks an exciting introduction to the Collective’s work and the beginning of a wider programme to support and showcase local women photographers.

Booking is required for the opening night.
