The Sitwell Supper Club presents: A dinner by celebrated Scottish chef Adam Handling with Maison Mirabeau

About this event

The Sitwell Supper Club is delighted to announce that the much-celebrated Michelin-starred Scottish chef Adam Handling will be cooking a dinner to remember at the Sitwell Supper Club at West Somerset's Rooks Nest Farm on Friday June 3 2022.

Adam currently runs four restaurants and bars: Frog by Adam Handling and Eve Bar in London's Covent Garden, The Loch and The Tyne in Old Windsor and Ugly Butterfly in Cornwall. He also oversees his high-end nationwide food delivery service, Hame.

Born in Dundee in 1988 he first apprenticed at Gleneagles before becoming the youngest ever head chef of the Fairmont hotel in St Andrews. He went on to win a host of awards before deciding to head south, where he became head chef at Adam Handling at St Ermin’s. Shortly after, he opened his own restaurant that adhered to his goal of zero-waste, in London's Shoreditch in 2017. That establishment was Frog E1.

In 2019 he opened his flagship restaurant Frog by Adam Handling in Covent Garden, where he was awarded a Michelin star in the 2022 guide. He next opened his pub, The Loch & The Tyne in Old Windsor. His restaurant Ugly Butterfly, a pop-up in Chelsea, was recently relocated on a larger scale to the Cornish coast at Carbis Bay, near St Ives.

Adam has appeared on numerous TV shows, including MasterChef, the Professionals, and most recently on Great British Menu 2022.

Adam has appeared on numerous TV shows, including MasterChef, the Professionals in 2013.

As to the food he cooks, he says: 'It's British food, inspired by everything around me.' Although he admits his guilty pleasure is 'a KFC and a bottle of champagne'.

Your host, as ever, is William Sitwell, one of Britain's foremost food writers. Restaurant critic for The Telegraph, he has been a regular judge on the BBC hit show MasterChef for almost 20 years. His supper club in Somerset has quickly become a firm favourite for lovers of great food, great wine and great times!

Tonight's menu is also being matched by the exquisite drinks of Maison Mirabeau. Founded in 2010 by Stephen and Jenny Cronk, Maison Mirabeau is today celebrated for its exquisite range of pink wines from the South of France. The range has grown from their core range of Côtes de Provence rosés to a number of rosé wines and a dry rosé gin, many of which will be specially paired with Adam Handling's menu.

Please note: while tonight is a celebration of great Provençal rosé William's fine selection of red and white wines will also be available from the bar.

The dinner will take place in the converted Cow Shed at William's Somerset home, Rooks Nest Farm. As a diner you'll take your seat, marked with place cards for you and your party, on one long table.

Drinks are from 7pm. Speeches and dinner at 7.30pm. The event ends at 10.30pm.
