Trauma lives not only in our memories, but also in our muscles, breath, and heartbeat. It speaks through the body, shaping how we carry stress and how we respond to overwhelming experiences. Through the framework of Somatic Experiencing (SE), this therapeutic approach views trauma as a disruption in the nervous system’s natural rhythm.

Join Dr Dilara Özel in exploring how our protective responses, fight, flight, and freeze, (re)shape the way we react to stress. We will dive into the basics of SE, including grounding techniques, tracking sensations, and resources that support resilience. Designed to be both practical and experiential, this workshop offers accessible tools to deepen awareness of your body’s wisdom and to explore your nervous system from a new perspective in daily life.

Workshop highlights:

  • Learn the principles of Somatic Experiencing and how it helps us better understand ourselves
  • Discover powerful practices, from noticing body sensations to recalling personal resources, that you could use at anytime
  • Develop tools to build resilience and reconnect with your body’s natural rhythm.
