The Something New Show
Event Information
Description
UPDATE: THE SOMETHING NEW SHOW WILL BE IN THE THEATRE TONIGHT. ACCESSIBLE BY ENTRANCE 4 ON CRAWFORD STREET.
Join us for another evening of new somethings at The Something New Show!
The Theatre will once again home to Wigan's loveliest night of poetry, comedy and improv; hosted by Casino Improv and, as always, free entry.
This March, we are joined by exceptional guests Rose Condo and Thaddeus Bent.
Rose Condo is a Canadian poet currently residing in the North of England. A multiple slam champion, she has been performing at spoken word events throughout the UK and Canada since 2013, including Amnesty International, Apples & Snakes, Hammer & Tongue and guest slots supporting Hollie McNish and Shane Koyczan. She has been the host and organiser of the monthly Spoken Word event “Queenie’s Coffee House Night” since 2015.
Her work is unapologetically feminist, oftentimes wry, occasionally raw but always honest and compassionate.
Down the back of the sofa of your subconscious lie your deepest fears! In this realm of fluff and nightmares one man walks alone...
Thaddeus Bent
The Author, story teller and fear-monger shines his mini mag light torch into the blackest corners of your mind!
Thaddeus Bent is an inhuman three way of Stephen King, Garth Marenghi and Tom Sleman!
"BENT'S TIGHT STORYTELLING AND INCESSANT ZANY DETAILS NEVER FAIL TO AMUSE- GENUINELY PUT YOU ON THE EDGE OF YOUR SEAT!"
