About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour 30 minutes
  • ALL AGES

Be inspired by the adventures of the flibbertigibbet nun-turned-governess as she discovers the life she was born to live.

You'll be entertained and encouraged as author Bryony Wood reads from her book and shares stories from her own life.

Make a moment to muse upon questions of love and faith.

It's honest, quirky and lots of fun. Come prepared to be entertained and inspired - and to sing along to some favourites.

Doors open at 7pm for a start at 7.30pm.

Frequently asked questions

Can I park at St Mary's?

You can park for free, after 6pm, in many of the town's car parks. The nearest, Governor's Lane (DT4 8DD - 3 minutes walk), is relatively small so you may prefer to park at North Quay (DT4 8TA - 5 minutes walk) or the Pavilion Car Park (DT4 8DZ - 8 minutes walk).

Will there be refreshments?

Yes, served after the presentation.

Organised by

Our church has been in the heart of Weymouth for hundreds of years - as the parish church of Melcombe Regis (the town on the north side of the harbour).

We're an active church, partnered with St John's and part of the wider parish of Radipole and Melcombe Regis with Chickerell.

In addition to regular services our building hosts a variety of events, including musical concerts.
