11.15am Tourism and the economy - the one future proof industry we have - Andrew Wilson, Managing Partner, Charlotte Street Partners

Andrew, an economist, former politician, communications adviser and a well-known figure in Scottish public life will provide some thought provoking insights to set the scene for the day in his keynote speech.

11.35am Tourism and Hospitality: The Growing Costs of Doing Business’ - research results and findings -Marc Crothall, CEO, STA The results of the STA’s four month research project into the rising costs of doing business will be announced. 11.45am

Discussion panel on survey findings with industry business leaders and professional experts

The panel including Claire Bruce, Director of Glen Tannar Estate in Royal Deeside; ​Robert Kidd, Founder of McKinlay Kidd; Eileen Blackburn, Partner of French Duncan and Stephen Leckie, Chief Executive of Crieff Hydro will explore the findings from the STA’s 2017 research project into the impact of the rising costs for Scotland’s tourism businesses.
