This Refugee Week Cambridge Quakers invite you to a free screening and discussion of Sue Clayton's film The Stansted 15 on Trial . The film tells how 15 peaceful protesters staged an action highlighting the plight of refugees being deported from the UK to African states - and then risked 25 years in jail.
Sue will be with us to discuss how new UK policies will make such actions even harder, and look at the personal challenges - as well as the rewards - of supporting refugees on the front line. She’ll also read stories from her book ‘The New Internationalists: Activist Volunteers in the European Refugee Crisis’.
