The ESRC Centre for Climate Change Economics and Policy (which is hosted jointly by the University of Leeds and the London School of Economics and Political Science) and the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment at the London School of Economics and Political Science are proud to announce an international meeting in London on 28 October 2016 to mark the 10th anniversary of the publication of ‘The Economics of Climate Change: The Stern Review’.
The meeting on ‘The Stern Review +10: new opportunities for growth and development’ will take stock of the extraordinary changes taking place in the global economy and seek to guide the research and policy that will deliver the global agenda created by the Paris Agreement (December 2015) and Sustainable Development Goals (September 2015).
It will include three sessions, on Low-Carbon and Resilient Cities, Sustainable and Resilient Energy and Infrastructure, and Institutions and Policies for Development, Mitigation and Adaptation.
The one-day event will be held at the Royal Society, at 6-9 Carlton House Terrace in London, where ‘The Stern Review’ was officially launched in October 2006. A small fee will be charged to those attending, further details of this will be released in due course.
