Description

St Mary’s Church, Iffley, celebrates the craft skills of its twelfth century builders and sculptors. This weekend stone-carving course is for complete beginners as well as people with some previous experience. Soft limestone, basic hand tools and expert teaching will be provided. Participants will receive close guidance in carving techniques and how to work safely.

Participation is for pre-booked applicants only, due to health and safety requirements. Fee for the whole 3-day course is £175 and covers all linked talks and visits as well as the course.. Participants will need to pay for their own travel, food and accommodation during the course. Closing date: 1 September 2019.
