The Story of Muddy Waters: A Live Rendition
Event Information
Description
Join us for a night of blues as we celebrate one of the genre's most iconic artists.
When it comes to blues there isn't a name more recognisable than Muddy Waters aka Mckinley Morganfield. He has been called "The father of modern Chicago blues", however this doesn't do his influence justice. His impression on blues, rock & roll, folk, jazz & more is tremendous.
When visiting the UK in the late 50s his presence alone started a resurgence in blues and shortly after recorded his legendary 'At Newport 1960' live from Newport Jazz Festival.
Formed with London's finest blues musicians and fronted by Remi Bankyln & Jose Bordoy, The Illinois Players bring Muddy's celebrated works to life with two live shows from 'Electric Mud' to 'I'm Ready'.
