In 1834, farm workers in West Dorset formed a trade union. Unions were lawful and growing fast but six leaders of the union at Tolpuddle were arrested and sentenced to seven years’ transportation for taking an oath of secrecy. Come and join Mark Damon Chutter for this walk and talk around the harrowing arrest, trial and punishment of the Tolpuddle Martyrs.

The walk will end at the Shire Hall Cafe in time for tea!
