A guided walk along the Great Stour Way towards Tonford Bridge.

About this event

A guided walk along the Great Stour Way from Canterbury towards Chartham where we will enjoy the lovely views of the river and its wildlife.

We will pass through Hambrook Marshes where we will discuss the history of the local area before continuing on towards Tonford Bridge. On our walk we will be looking out for a range of wildlife which may be present including kingfishers, damselflies & dragonflies, butterflies and hopefully much more. As with all wildlife we can’t guarantee what we will see though! Whilst this walk isn’t focused on photography, please bring along your cameras if you wish to capture some memories!

This is a free event but a donation pot will be available at the end of the walk should you wish to provide a small donation.

The walk will be approximately 2.5 miles long on public footpaths which may be uneven under foot.

Dogs are welcome but must be kept on leads at all times.
