The Stress and Anxiety Management tool kit
Working in conjunction with the Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) service the Recovery College is pleased to offer a one day workshop which aims to provide you with some of the latest information, useful techniques and simple steps that can be used to aid unhelpful feelings caused by stress, anxiety and low mood.
This workshop will explain the core principles of CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), introduce the concept of 'worry time' and focus on stress management and coping techniques commonly used by psychological services.
This course will be helpful for anyone who experiences stress and anxiety, along with family, friends, carers or professionals supporting them to build your personal knowledge and understanding.
What is the Recovery College?
DISCOVER: Recovery College is led by South West Yorkshire Partnership Trust and supported by Kirklees Council. We work in partnership with volunteers and other supporting organisations to develop and run a range of workshops and courses which promote well-being and good mental health.
We focus on education, building people’s skills and knowledge and should not be seen as therapy or a clinical intervention.
Our sessions have been designed and are run by people with personal experience of maintaining their own emotional wellbeing and professionals that work with them.
