About this event

Explore "The Subtlety of White and Black: Absence and Presence," an exhibition that invites visitors to reflect on the intricate relationship between absence and presence through the works of artists Choi Hoi Ying and Samson Wong.

Choi Hoi Ying captures the essence of nature with his traditional ink painting, embodying philosophical concepts from the Tao that emphasize formlessness and the fluidity of existence. His innovative use of found objects adds a contemporary layer, challenging viewers to see beyond traditional boundaries.

Samson Wong encourages contemplation of change and impermanence through his visual effects and interactive media. By transforming everyday moments and intangible data into flowing visuals, he creates a dialogue about memory and perception.

Together, these artists foster an exploration of the silent narratives that exist within stillness and movement. This exhibition invites you to engage thoughtfully with the concepts of emotion and existence, revealing the depth and beauty found within the spaces that often go unnoticed.

At "bookliner", we believe in the intrinsic value of life and the power of self-discovery through art. We design exercises that promote deep observation, fostering personal growth and meaningful community connections.

Through sharing stories, publishing, exhibitions, and art courses, we engage participants in creative experimentation and encourage mindfulness. Currently, we are planning to publish creative children's books, develop theme-based art courses, and offer art therapy services in the UK and Hong Kong.

We value cultural exchange as a means to enhance understanding and promote well-being, delighting in sharing the rich traditions of Chinese painting and calligraphy through innovative art initiatives. Our "read and make" workshops, inspired by children's books and storytelling, bring narratives to life.

Join us for our workshops and exhibitions that celebrate the beauty of life and inspire connections to the world around us.
