The Susie Cooper Museum & Archive, Douglas - Guided Tour
Susie Cooper OBE was not only amongst the most influential British Pottery Designers, she was a commercially successful manufacturer. The Museum celebrates her industrial career from the early 1920’s, with examples of both production, prototype and personal design works, right up to the late 1980’s. The tour concludes with light refreshments and an opportunity to watch archive film footage detailing the life of Susie Cooper.
The tour lasts approximately 1 hour.
The Susie Cooper Museum and Archive is a private residence. The collections are dispersed over three floors of the property, and the guided tour will involve walking up and down stairs.
It should be noted that visitors will need to be fairly fit to enjoy the guided tour, although hand rails are provided on all but one flight of stairs.
