This is part of UKFT’s goal to simplify the journey towards sustainability and help companies make the right choices by providing unbiased, industry-specific guidance.

We are pleased to announce that Rachel Arthur, Advocacy Lead - Sustainable Fashion at United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), will host our upcoming webinar 'The Sustainable Fashion Communication Playbook Masterclass: Shifting the narrative around Green Claims' on 14 February 2024.

The session will cover:

The Sustainable Fashion Communication Playbook - a guide to align consumer-facing communications with sustainability targets across the global fashion industry.
The importance of shifting fashion communication to create a sustainable and circular fashion sector, and of drawing attention to the role of marketers, brand managers, image makers, storytellers, media and influencers.
How to adopt and integrate the principles of the Playbook. This masterclass will offer a deep dive into its framework, providing participants with practical insights to use in their work.

Rachel Arthur

Advocacy Lead - Sustainable Fashion at United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP)

Rachel Arthur is a sustainability strategist and writer driving systems change within the fashion industry. She is currently the Advocacy Lead for Sustainable Fashion at the United Nations Environment Programme, where she focuses on narrative shift as a primary lever for reducing overconsumption relative to the triple planetary crisis of climate change, nature and biodiversity loss, and pollution and waste, not to mention social injustices worldwide.

She has also worked with Textile Exchange, the UNFCCC’s Fashion Industry Charter for Climate Action and the British Fashion Council's Institute of Positive Fashion, and previously led the industry strategy for Google's environmental data platform in partnership with WWF and Stella McCartney.

By background Rachel is an award-winning business journalist having contributed to titles as varied as Business of Fashion, Vogue Business, The NY Times, Guardian and more. Rachel has delivered a TEDx talk about the role innovation needs to play to enable a more environmentally sustainable fashion industry, and was named a sustainability thought leader in the Vogue Business 100 Innovator list in 2023.
