The TABS - Electric folk-rock: Live - Upstairs at the Carlisle, Hastings
Fri 23 December 2016, 19:30 – 22:30 GMT
Hastings legends The Tabs return to play Upstairs at the Carlisle for the second time by popular demand! This time the magic date is December 23rd. Time to get in the festive folky spirit!
After a hugely successful Autumn show on 7th October the long-standing band returns with local legend and furious fiddler Garry Blakeley (Blakeley & Son, Feast of Fiddles) leading the charge with his outrageous fiddle playing; along with veteran Roger Flack (of Peter Knight's Gigspanner), who really lets his hair down at this gig (literally!) and delights the ears with some mind-blowing guitar playing.
They are joined by Garry's son Edd Blakeley (also of Blakeley & Son, and frequents with local legend Blair) on Banjo and Mandola. Roger Carey (Liane Carroll) on bass really needs no introduction; a hero on the local circuit, he provides his astonishing bass expertise for the evening and is ably supported by Roger F's son Adam Flack on drums. A superb rhythm section by anyone's standard!
Don't miss this rare opportunity to catch an amazing collection of local talent in a truly unique evening of super-group folk-rock-funk.
The entrance to the gig is on the west-side seafront entrance of the Carlisle pub.
All tickets £8.
