Discover the Heart of Reiki – A Rare Historical Event for Reiki Practitioners
Join us for a unique opportunity to connect with the living history of Reiki. Whether you're newly attuned or a long-time practitioner, this event offers deep insight into the lineage and stories that shaped the Reiki we know today.
We are honoured to welcome Joyce Winough, Reiki Master and life partner of the late Phyllis Lei Furumoto, Lineage Bearer of Usui Shiki Ryoho. Joyce will guide us through an intimate and inspiring journey into the Hawayo Takata Archives, a rich collection of letters, photographs, documents, and rare audio recordings that illuminate the early days of Reiki's spread to the West.
Hawayo Takata is a foundational figure in the Reiki lineage, credited with bringing Reiki from Japan to the United States and training the 22 Reiki Masters who continued her legacy. In 2017, her personal materials were carefully preserved and prepared for donation to the University of California, Santa Barbara, a project Joyce helped to lead.
Through a curated slideshow of 125 archival images and rare audio recordings of Takata Sensei herself, you'll experience stories, teachings, and moments that shaped the global Reiki movement. You'll hear Takata's own voice, sharing her insights into Reiki healing and the power of touch.
This is not only a history lesson, but a vibrational transmission of connection, lineage, and legacy, a chance to deepen your understanding and appreciation of the Reiki path.
Book now – spaces are limited for this rare and intimate presentation.
