Event description

Description

There has never been greater competition for hiring and retaining great school staff. The Teacher Development Trust is proud to host a summit to explore cutting edge practice and research in this area. Expert input will be provided by the TDT, the Department for Education and many other leading organisations and thinkers in this space.

Teachers, teaching assistants and other staff are increasingly looking for development - not just regular professional development but for accreditations and qualifications that prepare them for the next stage of their careers. The landscape of development is rapidly shifting. With the emergence of the new Chartered College of Teaching and a major DfE consultation on teacher career pathways currently in the field, we'll be discussing the policies, tools and qualifications that schools will need to use in the future.

This event is ideal for:

  • School leaders: headteachers, principals, executive headteachers & CEOs.
  • Local authority education leaders.
  • Multi-academy trust board members.
  • Teaching School leaders.
  • Providers of school career qualifications.
  • Policy makers.

You will:

  • Hear the latest research and case studies of leading international research.
  • Receive an update from the Department for Education on the latest policy moves.
  • Find out what the most effective and forward-thinking schools, local authorities and Multi Academy Trusts are doing.
  • Have an opportunity to network with leading practitioners from other organisations.
