The Teen Experience Workshop Day #2
Sun 11 June 2017, 11:00 – 17:00 BST
Following not one, but TWO successful brunch launch events; we're excited to officially release tickets to our series of influencer-led workshops for teenage girls.
Expect a safe space for girl talk, an abundance of black girl magic, goodie bags, food, drinks and topical honest and open conversations led by young women, breaking the rules and creating their own lane in their chosen industry.
3 Workshops 3 Hosts 1 Photoshoot
#1: Self-Care led by UKAfrolista Women'ss Empowerment Content Creator + Co-Founder of iDefineMe: UKAfrolista's workshop will explore how fundamental that young women learn how to care for themselves first and foremost, inside and outside.
This workshop will explore self-care techniques, exercises, practices and allow the girls to create or share their own.
#2: Texture Talks led by Melissa Sinclair founder of Big Hair Beauty and talented Mina West Poet:
The elephant in the room. Texture discrimination and hierarchies.
Texture Talks is an open forum for us to discuss and explore the representation of various textures in mainstream media, by major brands and how we can do our bit to represent for all of our sisters!
#3: Framing your Face led by Make Up Guru's - Face2Face
Framing your face will educate the young girls on how they can enhance their individual beauty and make the most of their god given features, instead of trying to mimic others.
Attendees should bring along their own make up bags and the hosts will show these special ladies how they can make the most of their makeup collection to enhance their features.
What's a full day of exploring internal and external beauty and self-care without a fun photoshoot to wrap it all up?! A fun, cool, quirky to end an insightful day of workshops.
