Friends Who Are Going
Event description

Following not one, but TWO successful brunch launch events; we're excited to officially release tickets to our series of influencer-led workshops for teenage girls.

Expect a safe space for girl talk, an abundance of black girl magic, goodie bags, food, drinks and topical honest and open conversations led by young women, breaking the rules and creating their own lane in their chosen industry.

4 Workshops 4 Hosts 1 Day 1 Location

#1: Creating a vision for your life. Led by Teen Experience Co-Founder + Model + Mental Health Activist HairIsSimba and Video Director: Ashleigh Jadee

Magazines, photographs and lots of glue, pizza and refreshments we’re helping the girls design the life they desire, and subsequently form accountability partners to help guide them through their journey as young women.

#2: Dear Future Self: Led Radio Personality + Blogger Solelysentials

We will encourage the girls to think big and write a letter to the future woman they hope to become. The girls will also explore fashion and styling, with the woman they'd like to become in mind.

From this, we hope that, they are able to work backwards and begin developing the qualities they’d like to possess as they become the Qweens they are destined to become.

#3: Staying True : Led by incredible Artist Sarah Owusu

With growing popularity of ‘cool fun creative’ careers and interests such as blogging, photography, and makeup; when comparing yourself to others, your own interests can either seem dull or plain weird.

Through this workshop we hope that the young women are encouraged to follow their heart, their calling and their true ‘purpose’ regardless of what others think and are doing.

#4: The Power of Story Telling

In a world where mainstream media creates profiles and stereotypes for young people in particular young black men and women; it is important for these groups to reclaim their power by creating their own narratives by harnessing their own voices.

This workshop will help these women tell their own stories in their own style. Speaking their truth.

This day will close out with product and hair demo's, using some of our goodie bag goodies! Photos will be taken and share online on all days of the workshops.
