The Tempest at The Garden at St Anne's Church Wandsworth on Monday 4th July
About this event
We are delighted to be embarking upon the fifth year of Shakespeare in the Squares and a new production of The Tempest, Shakespeare's island romance of magic and music, where forgiveness triumphs over revenge and love brings us home, all with a Bossa-Nova heartbeat.
The Tempest will be directed by Sioned Jones, who was Hippolyta in our highly successful 2019 production A Midsummer Night's Dream.
If you would like to see details of the production and the cast (when announced), please see our website: www.shakespeareinthesquares.co.uk.
The performance will take place in the gardens of St Anne’s Church on the nights of Monday 4th July and Tuesday 5th July. The performances will begin promptly at 7pm and will be over by approximately 9.30pm.
Details of any catering arrangements will be made available before the date.
Dame Judi Dench, CH, DBE, FRSA, Patron of Shakespeare in the Squares says, “How wonderful that Shakespeare in the Squares will be back this summer. What better way to celebrate the end of lockdown than to sit and watch a perfect Shakespeare play in the glory of one of London’s open spaces – I cannot wait!”
Event kindly sponsored by John D Wood.
