Clifton Hall began as a family home in the mid 1800s and has always been plagued by many chilling tales experienced by those who have entered.

This Grade 2 listed building is now a Masonic Lodge set over 3 floors with attic spaces and chilling cellars, endless corridors and the mysterious inner temple where doors are slammed by unseen hands the feeling of being watched and the sound of heavy footsteps are heard approaching but no one appears

This Masonic Lodge has a fast growing reputation for being Merseyside’s Most Haunted building and with each investigation a few more of the temples secrets are revealed

Originally built in 1845 as a home by Walter Scott, Clifton Hall was remodelled around 1851 as a change of venue. The building has ashlar-faced roof that is not seen behind the parapet. It has 2 storeys, 4 symmetrical bays divided by full-height pilasters with egg-and-dart-capitals.

In 1974 the building was granted Grade II Listed status
