The Ten Years' Time Social Sector Careers Dinner
Thu 20 April 2017, 18:30 – 20:00 BST
Every couple of months we run a careers evening for around 10-12 people interested in careers in the social sector. This could be for those who want to transition from other sectors, for those starting out their careers, or for those looking to take on volunteer leadership (e.g. trustee) positions.
The events are held after work at our offices, where we will serve an informal dinner and drinks.
We cover in the sessions:
- What we do at the Ten Years' Time hub (which also includes other organisations like Future First Global and The Social Investment Consultancy);
- How hiring works in the social sector;
- How social change happens and the types of organisations you should look to work for.
The dinner is free but we have a suggested donation of £10 to Future First Global for anyone who comes (no obligation - if you can't afford it don't worry at all). To donate please click here: http://www.futurefirstglobal.org/get-involved/
We ask for a suggested donation of £25 to Future First Global for anyone who RSVPs but then is unable to make it, as this means someone else loses a space.
We are looking to build a community amongst those that come so will invite you to our LinkedIn group to share jobs, articles, ideas, volunteer leadership positions and interesting opportunities that come up as well as to our quarterly social change events, which are more interactive workshops on specific social challenges.
If you would like to RSVP, please do so and we look forward to meeting you! The sessions are a great way for us to build our network, share our ideas and hopefully help people interested in social change to make good decisions in their careers.
