About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

Our Cinema Crawl continues, with a screening of James Cameron's iconic sci-fi classic at Archive – showing in partnership with Scalarama Leeds.

Witness the relentless pursuit that doesn't stop. Feel the terror of being hunted by something that can't be bargained with, can't be reasoned with, and absolutely will not stop.

No, we’re not talking about Leeds Cinema Crawlers and their insatiable thirst for movies, but instead we mean the iconic cyborg from James Cameron’s The Terminator (1984).

In the year 2029, machines have taken over the world. But the human resistance has found their saviour in John Connor. Desperate to eliminate him before he's even born, the machines send back their most lethal weapon: The Terminator, played by Arnold Schwarzenegger. Linda Hamilton is the unsuspecting waitress who holds the key to humanity's survival, and Michael Biehn is the battle-scarred soldier sent back to protect her.

"I'll be back" became more than a cheesy line, it became a promise that launched a franchise and redefined science fiction cinema forever.
