This Halloween... Reel Steel present one of horror cinema's most iconic titles, in 16mm.
Originally shot in 16mm, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974) follows five friends travelling through rural Texas, as they stumble across what appears to be a deserted house, only to discover something sinister within.
Falling victim to a family of cannibalistic psychopaths, the group soon find themselves picked off, one-by-one, by a masked madman with a chainsaw.
Widely-considered one of the greatest - and most controversial - horror films of all time, 1974's The Texas Chain Saw Massacre was refused a certificate by the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC), banned during the "Video Nasties" moral panic, and was not given a full uncut UK release for 25 years until 1999.
A masterclass in tension and fear, with its documentary-style camerawork delivering a disturbing reality and a cutting social commentary, from iconic horror director Tobe Hooper.
See one of horror cinema's most infamous titles, in its original 16mm format.
