The Thames Estuary Sunken Slave Ships Project So Far: a Talk and Community

Peter will share the research, physical search and creative projects carried out to honour the ancestral histories of the wrecks off the coast of Margate and surrounding waters. We hold a discussion about how we, as a Diaspora community living close to the wrecks, can take care of those lost aboard them, adopting them into our community as ancestors or remembered figures. We discuss how we can take action to find, hold and share our own histories, as well as practical options for searching the waters, diving, remembering and sharing as a community.
