First instalment in our 2022 networking event series #WOTW

About this event

Join us for the first of our 2022 Women on the Water networking events: on 2nd March 2022.

We are delighted to welcome Rommell Wallace, Director of SAY who will be leading a Training Workshop on Diversity & Inclusion focusing on how to speak comfortably about gender and ethnicity at work.

Followed by a group discussion on the Women on the Water's Network impact in 2022.

PREVIEW Future Women on the Water networking events in 2022:

Tuesday, 14th June 2022, 2pm to 4pm: Marine Policing Unit, Wapping

Hosted by PC Charmaine Boswarva.

Provisional programme: presentation of the unit, demonstration of a rope climb and boat trip as well as Women on the Water update.

Wednesday, 6th October 2022, 10am to 12pm

Wednesday, 7th December 2022, 2pm to 5pm

What "Women on the Water" aspires to:

• Encourage more diversity in the inland waterways sector, including the tidal Thames, by providing networking opportunities for women in operational roles.

• Support all women in the sector through knowledge sharing and mentoring.

• Position the industry as an attractive career choice for women.
