Please join us in celebrating 30 years of the MA Music Therapy training and 15 years of the MA Dramatherapy training at Anglia Ruskin University! This one-day conference will bring together music and dramatherapists from across the globe to explore the intersection between the identities of artist and therapist. The event will take place 10:00 – 17:00, followed by a social event from 18:00 – 20:30.
Dramatherapy and music therapy practice bridges the disciplines of art and science. Creative practice and the artform as the healing agent is at the centre of our work and the training courses. The therapeutic process is mediated though the art form creating an arena for accessible and playful inquiry. Arts therapists work with diverse groups of people, individuals and communities towards change and meaningful growth.
Invited speakers will showcase the range and breadth of impact made by ARU alumni in the field of dramatherapy and music therapy practice and research. This will also be the premiere of a short film about the history of the MA Therapies courses at ARU, and the launch of a digital map showcasing the reach and impact of our alumni! For more information about the survey, please see below.
This event includes a catered meal and refreshments throughout the day.
