In this dynamic session you’ll take stock of exactly how well your business understands its customers and will learn frameworks for establishing ongoing customer intelligence designed to allow you to focus on what matters most to you & your customers

Knowing the demographics of your customer may help you plan, reviewing your analytics will tell you where you lose your customers and what percentage of them convert from one stage of the funnel to another but none of this data will help you create a deep, empathic understanding of who your customers are as people and how they see the world.

Who are you for? Who aren’t you for? What values do you share with your customers? How can you make sure that you are informed by your customers without being led by every twist and turn of customer feedback?

Without this deeper understanding, you will struggle to find a common purpose and without that you’ll really struggle to elevate your brand behaviour to cultivate increasingly deep and lucrative relationships with your customers. Ultimately you’ll struggle to grow.

If you feel that the customer isn’t vividly alive within your business then this workshop is for you. Afterwards you’ll have a framework for radically improving your understanding of your customer and having ongoing intelligence to inform your brand behaviour.

This workshop is developed in partnership with Attest, a company specialising in sourcing brand, market and competitor Intelligence for commercial leaders.

In this workshop, you will:

  • Learn practical ways to structure an approach to customer development research
  • Learn about a suite of tools that you can implement within your business to structure the knowledge and data you already have
  • Learn how to integrate ongoing customer insights alongside your other retrospective analytics data
  • Understand how to define critical insights
  • Understand how to maintain the voice of the customer within your business

The workshop will include worksheets, case studies, practical examples and action planning. Refreshments and snacks will also be provided.

Our facilitators for this session are John Zaheer-Flaherty of numberoneson and Mark Walker of Attest. John is a senior marketing consultant and brand strategist with more than 20 years experience of leading household name brands such as Youngs, Durex, Scholl & Reebok domestically & internationally and more recently helping small businesses grow. Mark is the Marketing Director of Attest, a customer intelligence business helping senior marketers bring quality, commercially useful insights into their business on a consistent basis. Mark is also the former Head of Growth at Eventbrite
