The Time is Now: Lobby and Pilgrimage

Description
Join us on Wednesday 26 June when thousands of us will meet our MPs in the streets around parliament, all at the same time! Book a free ticket to let us know you are coming.
We will make sure that our politicians act now to build a future where Britain no longer contributes to climate change and protects the environment - alongside thousands of supporters from organisations across the UK.
Don't worry if you are not an expert! We will email you more details about the day as they unfold and provide you with a briefing for your conversation with your MP. Together we will create a noise outside Parliament that can’t be ignored.
Plans for the day are taking shape, so here’s what you can look forward to:

From 9:30am: For those travelling on their own and arriving early, there will be several fantastic interfaith workshops happening in the morning, before the lobby kicks off. Check out what's happening and register on Eventbrite.

12:00-13:15: CAFOD is participating in an interfaith event with former Archbishop Rowan Williams from midday. If you would like to attend, you can find out more and register on Eventbrite. Tickets are limited. If you're joining us on a Climate Pilgrimage coach, you'll be registered by CAFOD until tickets for this event have sold out, in which case you will be made aware of this.

From 13:00: Meet your MP to discuss why you care about climate change and our common home. We'll keep you posted when a brief is available to help you with your conversation.

16:00: Close the day with CAFOD’s Mass at Church House to reflect on and celebrate our common home. The event is not ticketed, and there is no need to sign up in advance – just turn up!

If you are coming from outside London - let the COACH take the strain and join the CAFOD Climate Pilgrimage
Join CAFOD's Climate Pilgrimage by taking a coach running from most dioceses in England and Wales. Learn more about climate on a guided retreat, do some art, prepare to lobby your MP, meet others and have fun en route.

Your nearest pick up point may be in a neighbouring diocese. We will do everything we can to get you to the interfaith celebration at midday. The pickup times are subject to change, so please check the link prior to travel. We will ask you to confirm your pickup point nearer the time. Looking forward to welcoming you aboard!
Please note: The same coach will be travelling through Leeds, Hallam and Nottingham Dioceses. If you are booking for a group and your number exceeds the number of tickets available for one Diocese, please use the two remaining Dioceses to book your tickets.
For Middlesbrough and Hexham & Newcastle Dioceses, your coach will also be shared. If you are booking for a group and your number exceeds the number of tickets available for one Diocese, please use the two remaining Dioceses to book your tickets.
