Come and retell a beloved tale of ‘The Tortoise and the Hare’ by using different sounds effects to create a sound scape for the story.

About this event

In this workshop you will be able to stretch your storytelling skills by using more than just words. All you need is access Zoom, your imagination and whatever you have lying around the house. You can use simple instruments, pots, pans, or even just your voice! This is a great way to engage with as story in a new way. So grab a pot and a spoon or whatever and let’s make some noise! Saturday’s session is aimed for ages 7+ and Sunday’s sessions is aimed for ages 6 and under.

Natalie Imlay is the founder and Artistic Director of Three Feathers Theatre a children’s theatre company and charity. Three Feather’s process is begins by conducting drama and devising workshops with children and what comes out of our workshop is then a developed into a production for young audiences. Natalie founded Three Feathers based on concept of how children perceive and relate to stories. Natalie is an American actress and director that trained at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts. She has worked on both stage and screen and years of experience of working with and performing for children.

Candid Arts Trust is a self-funded, registered charity based at the Candid Arts Centre in Islington, London. The centre is located in two Victorian warehouses totalling 23,000 square feet and offers 6,500 square feet of loft style exhibition space, 20 artists studios, film screening rooms, rehearsal spaces, a banquet room that can be hired for private functions as well as a café with outside courtyard.

Candid Arts Trust’s main objective is to promote the arts and arts education with special emphasis placed on helping newly graduated artists and designers in their first years out of college. Candid showcases their work in specially organised exhibitions throughout the year and acts as an intermediary between artists and designers wishing to sell their work and clients looking to purchase new works.

Candid Arts Trust events include The Islington Contemporary Art and Design Fair, The Angel Christmas Fair as well as various group shows and film screenings throughout the year. It also hosts a number of College Degree Shows and solo and group exhibitions.

Over the past few years Candid Arts Trust has developed an educational programme that includes a variety of painting and drawing classes and workshops.
