Below is a quick summary. Suffice to say we have seen them a few times now and have been blown away by their virtuosity and varied repetoire!
The Trouble Notes are a progressive world folk trio. Known for their explosive energy and worldly melodies, the band was formed in 2013 by violinist Bennet Cerven and has since become renown in the international world folk scene. The band’s core hails from three different countries: American violinist Bennet Cerven, German guitarist Florian Eisenschmidt and British drummer Peter Shaw. Their shows are packed full of surprises, known to feature international guest performers, adding to the energetic worldly sounds at the heart of their repertoire. They have toured extensively in Europe and North America. They have performed on Television in the USA, Europe, Japan and Brazil. They have played on many of Europe’s large festival stages and with major international acts like Jethro Tull, Rodrigo y Gabriela, and America.
Sitting somewhere between traditional folk, modern classical, and tribal dance music, The Trouble Notes have traveled their way across continents in search of musical influences.
The band has proudly built its multifarious audience independently – known colloquially as “The Troublemakers”- a testament to their self-made success story that has led to major festival appearances, multiple film scores and an extensive tour schedule spanning the globe.
