Ceramics Taster Session

During the session, you will have the opportunity to:

• Learn about a variety of techniques with an overview from diverse artists whose body of works exemplify knowledge of clay’s material properties
• Learn how to construct 2 forms (a cube and a cylinder) that are the fundamental elements in the construction of any hand built sculpture, whether free form or made with formal geometry
• Have a conversation with the rest of the attendees about techniques, and give and receive constructive feedback on your work
• You will participate in a discussion of how ceramics links with other disciplines and how this experience can enhance your own teaching practice
  

By the end of the Workshop:

• You will discover your own individual style and personal expression in clay
• You will understand different techniques
• You will have the opportunity to connect with other professionals
  

This course is suitable for:

• Individuals that are interested in working with clay in a variety of methods and processes
• Individuals that have very little previous experience of the material
  

Each individual will require an apron/suitable clothing.

Parking on the first come basis.

Refreshments will follow the taster session, so allow a little bit of extra time.
