From Henry VIII's composition and Anne Boleyn's favourite songs to Elizabethan ballads and music for Mary Queen of Scots, the majestic setting of the hall will be resonating with music that would have been played when Bess of Hardwick was alive. lighthearted and engaging contextual explanations will really bring the music to life for modern ears, even if you're not familiar with early music.
