Event description

Description

The Tumbling Lassie Committee exists to raise awareness of the evils of modern slavery and people trafficking. We also raise funds for two charities who work effectively to fight against these crimes and to support the victims in Scotland and abroad - TARA and International Justice Mission. For further details of our work and who the tumbling lassie was, please visit: www.tumblinglassie.com.

The theme for this, the third Tumbling Lassie Seminar, will be "Disruption of Trafficking and Networks". The morning will feature contributions from Crown Office here in Scotland and from Pam Bowen, Senior Policy Advisor at the Crown Prosecution Service in London. Alongside practical and policy insights from IJM's Andy Bevan and from TARA, there will be input from Police Scotland and the City of Edinburgh Council's Wendy Henderson who together have played a critical role in awareness raising in this area.
