The UK’s evolving FinTech Ecosystem

by Julian Wells

When FinTech emerged, the term was initially applied to the technology employed at the back-end systems of established financial institutions. Since then, however, there has been a shift to more consumer-oriented services and therefore a more consumer-oriented definition. FinTech now includes different sectors and industries including education, retail banking, fundraising and non-profit, and investment management.

The UK is a global leader in FinTech and the national ecosystem is fast evolving to create a powerful presence that stretches far beyond London. In this session, experienced financial service and FinTech consultant Julian Wells, will look at the evolution of the sector and consider the shape this may take in future.

Best wishes,
