In this webinar, Sue Cowley will share lots of practical strategies, ideas and tips for achieving adaptive teaching in your classroom. The ideas are based on Sue's bestselling book, The Ultimate Guide to Adaptive Teaching. Sue will look at how adaptive teaching is about having a flexible mindset and responding to the learners who are actually in the class. She will explore how, as well as being about planning for scaffolds ahead of time, adaptive teaching is also about adapting 'in the moment' in response to needs and interests.

Sue will share a brief history of inclusion and look at the range of processes which make up an adaptive approach to teaching. She will help you understand how to plan for meeting different needs, how to identify and overcome barriers to learning and how to achieve a flexible, adaptive approach with your learners. She will share lots of practical, concrete ideas for adapting and differentiating in your classroom.

This webinar is aimed at teachers and trainees in primary and secondary schools and FE colleges. The ideas explored will also be helpful for those working in a SENDCO role and also for leadership teams looking to extend and develop teacher practice in this area.

Please note: live attendance at this event is highly recommended but a recording of the session will also be made available for 5 days after the webinar has taken place, for ticket holder access only.

Sue Cowley is an internationally renowned teacher trainer and author of over 30 books for teachers, including the best selling practical guides, Getting your Class to Behave, The Ultimate Guide to Self-Regulation and How to Survive your First Year in Teaching.
