The UNCRC in Law
Your views and expertise will greatly benefit the discussion and seminar series as a whole. The agenda is forthcoming and will include exciting discussion and debate from a range of child law specialists and academics including representatives from Wales, Ireland and Scotland, as well as presentations from third sector representatives such as Clan Childlaw who provide children with access to legal advice and support in Scotland.
The aim of the seminar is to will draw from a wide range of experience as well as academic and legal research to explore the strengths and weaknesses of using legislation to progress UNCRC implementation.
From this, we aim to agree a set of priorities for research, policy and practice in Scotland to support the implementation of the 2014 Act and drive improved monitoring and implementation of the UNCRC at a local and national government level.
