Event description

Description

The feminist movement emerged in the mid 1800’s, out of a desire to attain equal political and legal rights for women. Overtime, Feminist political activists have been involved in tackling issues related to individual autonomy, political rights, objectification, social freedom, economic independence, abortion and reproductive rights, divorce, workplace rights and education.

Today, the Feminist movement is, arguably one of the most misunderstood concepts of modern society. Feminists have been blamed for everything from a deterioration in modern day relationships, to the production of bad video games, movies and TV shows.

On this edition of the unfinished conversation, we shine the spotlight firmly on feminism. What is it? What does the movement hope to achieve? What impact has it had on society? And why should the average man or woman care.

Join us, in PAWA 254's mageuzi theatre as we dissect these and more questions on the second edition of The Unfinished Conversation.

See you then!
