The Unknown Warrior, an Untold Story
Event Information
About this Event
The Public Record Office of Northern Ireland (PRONI) and the Antrim & Down Branch of the Western Front Association would like to invite you to a presentation by author, Mark Scott, about his new publication, 'Among The Kings'.
Mark will discuss the back story to his new publication and explain how research conducted into a simple list of names, written by his great grandfather in 1916, led to unravelling some of the secrets behind the operation to recover the body of Unknown Warrior in November 1920. The research highlighted the important role played by a number of Irish officers in carrying out the operation.
Mark Scott is a researcher with the Royal Ulster Rifles Museum at Waring Street in Belfast. 'Among The Kings' is his second publication. He was the author of 'The Man Who Shot The Great War' and had previously worked as research consultant for DoubleBand Films/BBC NI documentary film of the same name which aired in November 2014.
This event is taking place on Zoom. Registration closes one hour before the event and an invite link will be sent to everyone registered one hour before the beginning of the event.
