The Unmistakables Dine and Debate: End of Year Session
Overview
Ever feel like you’re sprinting to keep up while also trying to find time to pause, think, and talk things through properly?
There’s no shortage of topics worth debating but some are too complex for a tweet, too risky for LinkedIn, and too awkward to bring up at the pub.
That’s why we started Dine & Debate at The Unmistakables: a safe and smart space where we tackle tricky topics and questions such as ‘where is the line between cultural appropriation and cultural appreciation’ and ‘is freedom of speech just an excuse to be offensive?’.
It’s thought-provoking, occasionally mind-bending, and often very amusing. We hope you will walk away with a fresh perspective, some new connections and a smile on your face.
We are hosting an end of year special edition of dine and debate, where we’ll be looking back over 2025 and making predictions for 2026. Join the likes of Sainsbury’s, Uber, The Greater London Authority and WaterAid.
Topic for debate:
End of year special - What was the wildest thing you saw in 2025? What is your hot take prediction for 2026?
For example (probably showing a case of recency bias) a month ago we were left speechless by Yvette Cooper’s obsession with flags, and everything that entails. See a fantastic interview here and you may share some of our confusion. We just think it’s A LOT of flags to have in one house.
Our hot take is that Gen Alpha will bring back landlines and call it retro mindfulness.
Please RSVP by 14th November - our debates are carefully curated spaces that are small and safe so there are only a few spaces available.
We provide breakfast. You provide the debate. But please do let us know if you have any dietary requirements.
All discussions are off the record, so what’s said at Dine & Debate stays at Dine & Debate. Unless it’s too good not to share, in which case… we’ll still keep your name out of it.
