We are pleased to announce that we are releasing tickets for the second event in our current series, entitled The Urban Imperative: improve, extend, create. This series explores how three interrelated choices, to improve, extend or create cities could play out and interact in different contexts around the world.

Event 2: How can we successfully extend existing places?

The discussion will explore how existing places can be extended to accommodate a rising population in cities around the world. What are the challenges traditionally associated with this type of development and how is it perceived in different localities around the world? Are there new approaches being pioneered that could provide a way of addressing the challenges of rapid urbanisation and delivering on the New Urban Agenda in the future?

We will have four speakers who will provide short, ten minute provocations from different perspectives, before the floor is opened to a wider discussion and debate.
