What is the Workshop?

This ACED-MCRC Workshop aims to bring experts in healthcare data from across the world together to discuss the challenges and opportunities in using healthcare data in cancer early detection. You will hear from national and regional experts about the use of healthcare data in research in the UK and US and how this can be beneficial for the ACED partnership.

Who should attend?

This workshop will be of interest for any researcher or scientist wishing to learn more about healthcare informatics in the UK and US and its uses in cancer research. It is open to researchers from across the ACED partnership, as well as any other interested scientists willing to share their knowledge and experience or wishing to learn more.

To understand the challenges and opportunities available when using healthcare data in cancer early detection.
To understand data governance arrangements for routine healthcare datasets that would be available at local, regional, or national level
To discover more about the studies that have already been undertaken, or are currently in progress, using routine healthcare datasets for research on cancer early detection
