READY TO PROGRESS WITH THE READY TO PROGRESS DOCUMENTS?

The Enigma Maths Hub is pleased to offer a free online session with Dr Debbie Morgan – Director of the NCETM

This session is to revisit the use of the DfE guidance materials and to share how effectively the materials can be used – especially in the current context.

Since the publication of the DfE guidance many schools have been making use of the DfE materials in different ways.

Dr Debbie Morgan will focus on the use of the ready to progress materials to address the current context of schools.

Catherine Smyth from Duston Eldean school will share how her school is making use of the materials in two different ways – both as an intervention and as part of classroom learning.

The DfE guidance identifies the most important conceptual knowledge and understanding that pupils need as they progress from Year 1 to Year 6.

These important concepts are referred to as ready-to-progress (RTP) criteria and provide a coherent, linked framework to support pupils’ mastery of the primary mathematics curriculum
