For women who love to cycle and women who are new to cycling, we are holding a series of rides on Wednesday’s around our favourite local routes. The rides are fully guided and will starting at a distance of 12 miles and building up to 20 miles. they will be a steady paces aimed at building confidences on some of our quiet routes. This ride is perfect for anyone wishing to try out road cycling or get back on the bike after some time off. Road and hybrid bikes all very welcome.
If you are looking for somthing more chalenging please see our Intermeadiate rides.
No one likes to think about things going wrong but accidents can happen and we think it’s important that riders understand their own responsibilities. All our events have public liability insurance in place that covers The Velo House and the actions of it’s staff, it doesn’t cover you for your own actions. In simple terms that means if you cause an accident that is found to be your fault you are personally responsible for any injury to yourself or others and for any damage to yours of other peoples property. Sorry if that all sounds a bit heavy, we want everyone to have a safe and enjoyable ride so please ride sensibly, control your speed and don’t take unnecessary risks.
If you ride regularly and are concerned about your own insurance cover you’ll find British Cycling or CTC membership can offer you some protection.
WEATHER & ROAD CONDITIONS
We’ll be keeping an eye on the weather over the coming days Please check the forecast before the ride and dress appropriately for the conditions.
Most of the roads seem in good condition but like all areas of the UK there’s always the risk of potholes, poor surfacing or gravel especially on some of the smaller lanes. Please always keep alert and signal any hazards to riders behind you..
