Effects of Anxiety on ability to focus on goals: Exploration of theories
Darren Shaw BSc(Psych.), Cer.H.Ed Counselling, NLPprac, PTLLS
Anxiety is a term describing an emotional disorder that affects millions due to its debilitating effects. There is much left to understand about the mechanisms of how anxiety impacts decision-making and the ability to focus on short and long term goals.
Join Darren Shaw for an exploration into studies of anxiety and theories that dominate contemporary psychological research today.
Learn how the mechanisms that govern the mind are affected by anxiety, whether its anxiety in a situation or anxiety as a constant personality trait. This is an easy to follow academic journey where you will be encouraged to think critically about how you can use the theory to empower yourself and/or others.
At this workshop, you will:
Get an introduction into experimental psychology
Discuss theories with others, and come up with your own ideas
Create your own goal for 2017
