The Walk & Talk is an event connected to The Walk Platform is an opportunity to connect and have meaningful conversations and life, faith and relationships through the Christian lens, while exploring the great outdoors.
The Walk: The hiking trail this time is the Seaford to East dean trail, a 5 - 6 hour trail with beautiful views. Here's what you need to know about the route!
- It's a linear route so our start and end points will be different
- We'll be starting the hike at : Seaford Esplanade Car park (closest train station is Seaford Train station)
- We'll be ending the hike in a small village in East Dean (Closest station is Eastbourne station).
The Talk: We believe that the ability to have conversations is a God-given gift and a necessary tool for doing life well. Our desire is to create spaces and opportunities to use this gift, and The Walk & Talk is one of the ways we're doing this.
The topic for our first walk is The Art of Conversation, we'll be exploring what fruitful conversations look like in the context of life , faith and relationships. Whether you're Christian or just curious, you're invited!
New to hiking? Here's a list of things to bring.
- Hiking boots or comfortable trainers with a grip that you don't mind getting wet and/or dirty
- Fitness clothes
- A small bag / backpack
- Hiking poles (if you feel you need them)
- A light waterproof jacket
- Snacks
- Sunscreen
- Sunglasses
- Cap (not essential)
- Water
- Wipes / tissue
