Published in 2016, The Walls Don't Speak is a tour-de-force by social anthropologist Florence Weber and photographer Jean-Robert Dantou to challenge cliché representations of mental illness in academia and in photography. The presentation of the book's themes and images will be placed alongside a broader discussion of related issues of silence, mental illness and the architecture of 'madhouses'.
