About this event

The WAVE Festival is a charity event with all profits used to support the young people of Hayling Island . The event caters for both children and adults with activity's available during the day such as Land Zorbing, bumper cars, axe throwing, target football, bungee trampoline, assault course and much more. Free activities include regular appearances from Rocky the dinosaur, a circus act who will roam amongst the crowds plus face painting, storyteller/ treasure hunt ,art activities, dance fusion, clubbercise and lots more .

Concession stands will be selling local food including locally sourced burgers, a hog roast, pizza, cakes, candy floss and much more. For 18 and over there will be beer and wine available along with a gin bar.

We are very pleased to announce that Mark Collins DJ on WAVE 105 will be there to compere the event.

The full schedule of live music runs from 11:00 am to 11:00pm with an eclectic mix of festival music from local south coast musicians. Check out the groups appearing by looking them up on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube or Spotify.

Fugitive Orchestra: Portsmouth-based musician playing a range of jazz-infused, bluesy hip-pop sounds. Recently played at the Musikkfest Rogaland in Norway.

En Masse Pop and Rock Choir: Associated with the Eminor Performance Academy based in Totton they are one of the South’s longest-running and leading pop choirs who wow audiences with intricate harmonies, complex dances, and incredible lead vocals.

Electric Eden: Three-piece contemporary English folk band from Hampshire, producing a very earthy traditional sound with a modern approach to folk songwriting.

Timeless: Three girl vocal group performing songs from across the 40/s to the noughties. Cat Deeley described them as “Three girls with insane voices” on SkyOnes Ultimate A Cappella

Milly Thimaras: Milly is a Southampton-based artist whose music can be described as dramatic pop with an alternative twist of rock. She has supported Roachford and Toploader.

Laurence Henderson Band: Carrying a flame for classic guitar-driven blues-country-rock adding a new flavour to modern blues/country-inspired rock

Outlaw Orchestra: The ever-popular Outlaw Orchestra who have been playing across the UK this summer are closing our event with their unique blend of UK country rock.
